John Evans we will miss you

It is with a sense of overwhelming sadness that we announce the tragic death of one of WEMSI-Europe's founders, John Evans. John was one of WEMSI-Europe's great instructors and a key player in all our courses. He fell while descending from a climb in the North Wales mountains on Tuesday April 28th 2009. The news has been devastating for the WEMSI-Europe faculty and it will take some time time to come to terms with this terrible loss.
John was a friend to us all. Always sharing his knowledge and skills and often challenging us to achieve the best for our students. WEMSI-Europe will not be the same without John. We will go on, which is what he would want. And we will remember.
